Do you read my files or upload my data?

No. TidyDesk does not read file contents. We only analyze filenames, extensions, sizes, and timestamps to suggest organization. We don't upload your files, and your data is not saved in our databases.

What data do you store?

By default, we store nothing about your files or folder paths. If you opt in to analytics, we collect anonymous, aggregate events (e.g., feature usage) — never file names or contents. You can use TidyDesk fully with analytics disabled.

How does the AI organize my files?

Accepted Answer

TidyDesk groups files by type, recency, and patterns in filenames, then proposes a clear folder structure (e.g., Documents, Media, Invoices). You can tweak rules, set exclusions, and approve changes before anything moves.

Can I review changes before they happen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There's a Preview (dry-run) that shows every planned move. You can accept all, accept per group, or skip items. A full history & undo is available after you apply.
